Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimko has hailed the conduct of last week’s election and also expressed his satisfaction at the turn-out of eligible voters.
Addressing a stakeholders meeting in Akure today, the Governor predicted a bright future for the Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in future elections. The Governor noted that his administration has engendered the right confidence in the people of the state through the present administration’s various lives transforming programmes and projects.
The Governor enjoined the stakeholders to keep up their high level of commitment and love for the party and solicited their support in the forthcoming revalidation and registration of new members of the party.
He said the newly sworn in Local Government Chairmen and Councillors will deepen the programmes of the State government at the grassroots level and put in place robust feedback mechanism for efficient service delivery.
“What they will do at the local government level is to deepen what the party is doing at the State level because they are very close to the people. They will be in position to actually know exactly what areas they have to place emphasis on. They will be able to put in place very robust feedback mechanism for them to know areas where there are gaps and they will be able to avail us very credible data on what we are doing and what we are yet to do”, the Governor said.
